Expensive feet
My two youngest children had appointments at the podiatrist today. They both currently have orthotics which they have out grown, so needed an updated assessment. The result being that they both need a new set of insoles. Rhiannon will get the 'hard moulded' variety as her feet have hopefully stopped growing, and James will have the soft ones as he still has growing to do. So Rhiannon had a cast made of her feet ready for the $500 custom made insoles, and James had measurements for the $135 soft moulded ones which will be custom padded. The visit itself for the two of them was $110. Then next week, my eldest daughter and I will go through the same procedure. Flat feet is apparently hereditary. Thank goodness for Private Health cover which will take some of the sting out of the cost.

I hear you.. we've had some 'out of pocket' expenses like this recently with more to come in July/August. It's good that your kids are right now with their feet.
