My mum offered to make Jess a blanket for the expected arrival, and Jess asked for one to be made in purple and yellow. The above pics are of the finished item. Now I can knit, but there is knitting and then there is 'KNITTING'. This is the type that takes real skill and oodles of patience. Thank God for Grandma's.
[Not a skill that this 'to be' grandparent will have, but I'm sure I'll have other skills to share.]

I have known such talented ladies in my life too (all European). It's just amazing what some people can do with their hands!
