A precious babe

This young girl and her twin sister were the focus of much prayer and concern before they entered the world as they had twin to twin transfer syndrome. That meant that this young lass was transfering her blood to her twin sister. This put extra stress on her sisters blood system, but also deprived her own of the essential blood supply needed to survive. They had an operation as soon as it was discovered which stabalised them somewhat, but there was lots of unknown factors right up to and including their birth.
Miraculously, they arrived a few days before the scheduled c-section and required no special care. [despite the dad being asked those dreadful questions prior to delivery, regarding the lengths to take to revive them]
Since birth they have gone from strength to strength.
The smaller babe [above] has required extra tests and scans, post birth, as during pregnancy scans showed some abnomalities with her brain. To date there has been no definite diagnosis, but cerebal palsey is a posibility.
Sunday was their baptisms and a special day to celebrate the gift of these two precious babes.
Please join me in continuing to pray for their healthy growth. [ Mia Grace -pictured above, and Abbey Samantha].
